Meet Our First Lady

Rev. Janice Bridges

Evangelist Janice Bridges is the wife of Rev. Dr. Sonny Bridges. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Columbus Bryant Sr. and Mrs. Lexis Peyton Bryant. She is the mother of 5 children; Yashaka, Yalexis, Jaquia, and Rev. Stevin Bridges, Terrance Payton, two daughters-in-law; Christie and Rashida, 12 grandchildren; Alexis Victoria, Jaylyn John, Braylyn Joshua, Peyton Isaiah, Zion Jaquia Bridges, Jabraton Jeremiah, Zabian Matthew Denzel, Sonie Yabrea, Trinity, Noah and Elijah.

 

Evangelist Bridges is a 1971 graduate of Monticello High School Monticello, Mississippi. She furthered her educational studies and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education in September 2000 from the Transforming Bible Institute Overcoming School of Religion, Columbia, SC. She graduated from International Seminary May 23, 2004 and 2006 with degrees in Practical Theology from Plymouth Florida. She has a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Transforming Bible Institute Columbia, SC; International Overcoming College of Religion James Dussault University Washington State, August 2008.

 

Evangelist Janice Bridges has been employed with the Lexington County Dist. 2 Education program as a Substitute Teacher for all grade levels K-12.

Evangelist Bridges faithfully tries to give her best. She works in several capacities of her church. She’s the Director of Christian Education at Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church, Women’s Ministry Director, and Adult Sunday School Teacher and Marriage Ministry Advisor.

 

Evangelist Janice Bridges is a member of the Bethlehem #1 Missionary Baptist Church. Evangelist Bridges acknowledged her calling into the ministry on May 13, 2001 and was catechized for Ordination July 2, 2005. She loves the Lord, her family, friends and all God’s children. Additionally, she loves to teach and preach God’s Holy Word.

 

 “Motto” is: “If I can help somebody as I travel along the way, then my living will not be in vain.”
